Ever wonder why some videos look sharper and clearer than others? In many cases it boils down to the resolution of the video itself – and nowadays ‘full High Definition’ (i.e. 1080p) is pretty much the widely accepted standard. Needless to say, it makes sense to record your screen capture videos in that resolution – but you may not be sure how to go about doing so.
When you’re using the Movavi Screen Capture Studio it is actually fairly easy to record HD videos. In fact all you need to do is:
Expand the ‘Select capture area’ list and choose the resolution. If you’re using a 1080p HD monitor then you’ll be able to capture full HD by capturing the entire screen.
Open up the ‘Capture’ menu and select ‘Preferences’ and go to the ‘Video’ tab. In that tab you’ll find the ‘Maximum capture frame rate’ setting and you should set that to ‘60’ to ensure smooth playback on your HD video.
Click ‘REC’ to start recording.
When you’re done, stop the recording and save the video using a HD compatible format or by selecting one of the hundreds of presets available to optimize your video for a particular device or platform.
That’s really all that you need to know to use the Movavi Screen Capture Studio as a HD video recorder. Before you record your video however, you should also set the audio source that you want to capture, and decide whether or not you want to take advantage of the software’s ability to record keyboard and mouse actions by displaying key presses on screen and highlighting the mouse cursor.
Of course, there’s much more that the software is capable of and if you want you can also use it to improve your video in other ways. Some of its features will allow you to cut and combine video segments, enhance the video quality, apply special effects and filters, add audio tracks for background music and voiceovers, insert customizable text, and much more. All these features are designed to be accessible and easy to use, so it will only take you a short while to figure them out.
On a day to day basis, the Movavi Screen Capture Studio will undoubtedly come in handy and it will allow you to record online video streams, live webinars, Skype calls and tons of other content. Additionally, it will also let you create professional-looking video content of your own – and that will extend its usefulness even further.
