Augmented Reality And Virtual Reality: How Vuzix M400 And Pico Neo 2 Engineer Virtual Elements To Perform Various Functions

Augmented reality or AR is a technology that complements elements of the real world with elements of the digital world. That is, digital objects are introduced into the real world through a device, combining the things that we see with elements that do not exist, but that are visible through a screen. At the user level, entertainment is assured but, in the business field, the possibilities are endless and we are facing a technology that could be very powerful. Vuzix M400 is one of the popular AR devices in the market, provided by this vuzix m400

The Vuzix M400 is an AR smartglass that is able to facilitate diagnosis and error spotting, making it suitable for use in hospitals, manufacturing industries, field service, and warehouse logistics. It has an IP67 rating for water and dust so it can be classified as “tough”.

The AR smartglass is equipped with a 12.8 MP camera, capable of producing 4k videos. Designed for extreme environments, it has excellent impact resistance. This tool can be dropped from a height of 2 meters without being damaged. Weighing just 190 grams, including the battery, frame and cable, it is one of the lightest AR smartglasses on the market.

How About Virtual Reality?

VR technology is a technology that allows us to interact with imagined objects using computers. This technology will bring us into a 3-dimensional atmosphere that seems real. Usually this technology is widely used by drug mixers, architects, medical workers, and even gamers.

There are some established VR companies today, and Pico, one of them, has released its Pico Neo 2. The VR tool is provided online by VR Expert, an Agency for virtual reality

Chinese manufacturer Pico took advantage of CES 2020 to unveil all the technical details of its new Neo 2 VR headset. This is the first autonomous headset featuring Tobii’s eye-tracking technology. In March 2019, Chinese manufacturer Pico unveiled its new autonomous Neo 2 helmet. However, the technical characteristics of the successor to the 2017 Neo were not yet known. It is now done.

It features a Snapdragon 845 chip, and has a storage capacity of 128Gb. The inside-out tracking system offers six degrees of freedom of movement. However, another version called “Pico Neo 2 Eye” will be offered for around $ 900. This offers the same features as the Standard Edition, but is distinguished by the integration of Tobii Eye-Tracking technology.

The tool is perfect for training, simulations, and onboarding activities. This tool has VR capability (6DoF) which supports users to walk freely in the virtual world. This ability is very much needed in sales (creating an effective sales demo). Pico Neo 2 runs on an open Android system so it can be easily modified according to company needs. No additional devices (PC and tracker) are needed, this tool is easy to transport anywhere the company needs it.

Both are manifestations of how AR and VR play an important role in human life through the transformation of digital elements.
