Is “5K” Technology the Future of Television Displays?

Among the several new devices which Apple introduced to its enthusiasts and consumers during the event was the new iMac, which the company has named the “5K iMac”. The new iMac comes with a display that houses far more pixels as compared to the average television which has a display based on 4K technology, which is the reason why Apple decided to name the new iMac the “5K iMac”. The introduction of the 5K iMac has led to almost the entire world pondering and wondering whether or not the technology that Apple has introduced with the device can be used to create television displays and whether or not the technology is the future of television displays.

Well, while a definitely answer to this question does not exist at this moment, enthusiasts and fans should know that there is a very good chance that the technology used to create the new iMac – 5K technology –  can be used to create television displays. In addition, if 5K technology is capable of being used to create television displays, then it will definitely become their future as 5K technology is far better than 4K technology in every aspect.

For starters, 5K technology allows a display to house far more pixels than 4K technology while making sure that the cost of the display does not go substantially above the cost of the average 4K display. Secondly, if 5K technology is used to create television displays in the near future, then the displays created will provide users with the best viewing experience possible as the colors and other characteristics of a 5K display are far better than those of a 4K display. In addition, 5K television displays will be much friendlier with the environment as they will consume much less power as compared to non-5K television displays.
